Searching for Title on 67 912

Searching for Title for my 67 912 (produced 66) which appearently was exported from USA (California) in the 80´s to Norway.

Is there a possibillity to search down a copy of the original title frome this car? Can the veichle department in US help me with this?

I need a copy of the title to have the car registrated here in Norway. All papers from this car have disapeared through the years.

I hope someone on the board can help me here..

I think you have a problem. If it was recent the information here

    http://www.dmv.ca.gov/vr/vr_info.htm

covers it (scroll down to "What to do when purchasing a car from a private party." and see the second bullet point).

But it isn't recent - so I would try this:

"To speak to an operator, call between the hours of 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday - Friday, Pacific Standard Time... If calling from outside the United States, please call 916-229-0370. "

But I think if it hasn't been registered in CA in the last 5 years or so then it is purged out of the system.

I am in California - let me know if I can help.

Thank you for your quick answer! Yes, I guess it will be hard to track down info on this car. The chassis# is 458 120, 1966 912 (1967 modell). I can try to give them a call to check if they have some info on this car.

Maybe the customs department can have info on exported items?

Thanks for your info and help so far!

    Best Regards, Kjell T Brekka
