    I'm not exactly sure on dates but was told that the oil tank came off a 73 and the MFI setup is 72/73.

    oil tank is from 74 or later. the filter threads right on tank. Gordon

    The 1973 PET shows the filter on the right see below (looks like a 73 or 73.5):
