help needed - mounting front shoulder harness '72T Targa

    Hi all,

I am trying to mount my front shoulder harnesses (1972 911T Targa) correctly, but I seem to be missing the black "spacers" or mounts (for both the driver's and passenger's side) that go between the bolt and the interior, presumably to hold the belt hardware and keep the belt pivoting correctly rather than pinching and scuffing the interior.

Does anyone know what this part is called, and where I can get two of them?

I included a picture from Davie Boy's '71T Targa for reference, as I assume my '72 should have something similar.

I posted a similar thread at Pelican as well.

    Thanks!

On my '73, the part you are pointing to is a very, very, very thin plastic washer. Per my PET, the Porsche part number is 901-803-144-00. Per Pelican PArts it is called "Seat Belt Mounting Thin Plastic Protection Washer" and is NLA. If you feel the need to have them, find some black plastic fender washers that are about 1 1/2" in diameter. McMaster Carr (www.mcmaster.com) lists some in their catalog as Shimming or Insulating washers.

    Harry,

Thanks for the reply. For some reason, I thought there was a big plastic bushing that the metal seat belt hardware sat on, but now I understand that it's just a few washers and a small spacer that sits behind the thin plastic washer you mentioned. I got a better, exploded view of the parts, and I am sharing it here in case any else searches later and needs it for reference.

    Thanks again,
