    No need to go to Norway. See www.winterdrive.com for Bridgestone's winter driving school in Steamboat Springs, Colorado. I did a half-day course few years ago and should have done more. Great fun. You can drive either their cars or your own.

    I used to ice race a 914. There is nothing like spring wet races, just about 0 vision behind other cars and driving over 6 foot holes in the ice. I once got T-boned at 90+ mph when a Sway Away torsion bar broke on my car.
