    ultrasonic / ultrasound

    Hi,
Does anyone have a view on this - ? Can a set of 2.0 biral P&C's be cleaned without damage, using this process ??

Why not take them to a machine shop and have them do them in a high pressure/high temperature cleaning system? (a glorified dish washer).

Ultrasonic has been used for years in the jewelry industry. I cannot see how it could hurt a cylinder as long as you dry it off well to keep rust out of the bores. Easy.

    Good luck,

    Unbelievable good!

Have had my race car oil coolers/lines/particle filters cleaned this way for several years with great results. Just at SEMA show in Vegas and chatted/watched several vendor's demonstrations, Very convincing.
A big bubble bath for metal. Very safe, too. Brian

Sure they can, but you'd be better off glass-beading the fins and scuffing the bores with a scotchbrite pad. If you have to have them bored to 81 or 85, have them glass beaded first and then bored.
