    906 flywheel, clutch, and pressure plate?

    I was working on my old '69S hill climb car that I purchased off Craigslist today in preparation for starting a new twin plug engine build and found this stuff when I pulled the transmission. Are these 906 parts, or just a '69S flywheel w/ an aluminum 906 type pressure plate and a clutch disk that looks like something I'd use for drag racing (those are 4 solid bronze pads)?

    Yup, I think so. 906 and 911S used a lot of common parts.

    Patrick Motor sports sells something that looks like the flywheel, and it's a genuine Porsche part, but the part number listed is different then mine. They take theirs and drill it to make a 'lightened' 906 flywheel. http://www.patrickmotorsports.com/part/46/
    The timing set numbers on my flywheel are stamped like a 914-6 flywheel, so it got me thinking 906 due to it's mid-engine mounting too. I don't know if I have any '69S flywheels that aren't installed in a car to check the numbers, I will look to see.

    I have figured out the pressure plate is the aluminum type, like a 906.

    Never seen a clutch disk in a 911 that looks like this.

    I was going thru a stack of 901 flywheels the other day and half of them had the timing marks like the 914-6. I suspect that the replacement flywheels started to all have the timing marks....
