    Replacing VIN/Bdoy color plate

Has anyone out there ever replaced their VIN/Body color plate rivoted into the front of the driver's door jamb??

Just curious if this DYI job or would need to be done by a body shop? I assume that hardest part is getting the old one off.

    Any ideas would be appreciated?

It is actually not really riveted but nailed. It looks like a rivet but is a sort of nail. The best is to flatten the round head carefully with a dremel and then drill it out. You can get the rivets/nails from Stoddard or other suppliers.
