New Trunk Carpet Suppliers - Best of??

OK, we all know Tony has the best product out there, but who is the best of the rest? Stoddard, Appbiz, ect... I would like to hear from those who have touched and felt (no pun intended) the products. I want to replace the trunk carpet and want to know from those who have experience, which are the best facsimile of a factory kit. No thin felt kits please. Thank you.

    Why?

Curious why you would ask? Tony is priced very reasonably for these. The variance in pricing is less than $10.

I took his statement to mean that Tony was the best in seats maybe not knowing his skills in other upholstery and vinyl work and he wanted to know who were the leaders in these fields.

FWIW, if I lived close to Tony, I would drop my car off at his shop and let him refinish the whole interior.

Tony is definitely the recognized #1 in this field - no doubt. He did a complete interior with pepita/leather seats for my father's 73S. Absolutely outstanding. My question was purely out of curiosity and not intended to slam anyone's product or workmanship. I was just curious about what the other suppliers have for product and how close it is to a factory supplied piece. I only have experience seeing Tony's stuff and I was curious how close others come to that. Hard to tell unless one has personal experience with what materials are used.

I used Heritage for my trunk carpet and am very pleased , It's really heavy German stuff and they put the "pocket" in for the plank. The fit is great. Ron

Well, if you know Tony's is the best and the price is the same or very close...then what is the problem? I have a brand new set of front carpet from Tony that I havent installed yet if you want to see any pics or have questions. Honestly, the original trunk carpet wasnt that great from the factory. Even the best (Tonys) is still basically just felt.

We make our own as they are pretty straight forward. As mentioned they originally were pretty thin so we double up on the trunk section so it is more rigid and keeps its shape. We also remade the panel insert.

    In case a pic helps

    Thanks

Can someone post some details of the wood? i.e. exact size, number of layers of laminate, thickness in mm, type of wood, etc?
