WTB: looking for original philips radio cassette vintage 1969

I'm looking for the original radio for my 1969 911 S, the COA states the car was delivered with a philips AM/FM cassette, like this:

    Attachment 75095

I've been searching old auto radios, other sites, and ebay for years, with no luck.

does anyone have one of these kicking around? Am willing to trade the becker I have currently installed, or cash.

    Lewis,
Not to sidetrack your post too badly, I hope. I am restoring a 71E. My COA lists four speakers as an option, but does not list the stereo. It has a Craig 8-track stereo installed, that I was going to replace with a Becker...but is it possible that the Craig was a dealer installed option? Pic below.

PS: it's dirty and installed badly, but in decent, working condition.

I think the dealers installed lots of different radios in the day. I guess most factory installed radios were blaupunkt frankfurt and other blau models

    Lewis :

Have you tried the German side of ebay ? There is a rather good supply over on the other side......the guy does repair and refurb of decent looking O.E. systems for Porsche , BMW, Audi, and Mercedes. I cannot remmeber his site name right now, but usually has 100-200 items for sale, including the Beckers, Philips, Blaupunkts, etc. He is NOT cheap, but they are available.

    Al:

The pic you show is a Clarion, not a Craig.
The pic is exactly what came as a dealer install in my ' 74.

I obtained an O.E. Blaupunkt from a seller in Pano from Arkansas.
It was also not cheap, but indeed period correct, looked as new, and completed the look better than the Clarion.

So , do not give up hope , they are still available.......

    Somewhere.

Arjen, I do check out oldautoradio.com from time to time, and end up sending them an email with photo about once a year.

mrgreenjeans, I occasionally check out the german ebay, so far, nothing. If you remember the guy's username, I'd drop him an email asking if he can help.

thanks for all the ideas, folks, I haven't given up, yet.

Try Old Time Auto Radio in the Netherlands. They have a section on Philips here.
