    Knee pad removal

How do I remove the passenger side knee pad on my 73 911? Is it held in with straight forward screws/studs/nuts or spring clips embedded in 35 year old foam (yikes!). It sits on top of the factory a/c register which appears easy enough to remove but it blocks my view of the dash pad. Thanks in advance!

There are I think three nuts on the inside of the dash which attach to small studs in the knee pad. One near each end and I believe one in the middle somewhere. At least on my 73 the aftermarket a/c ducting under the dash had to come out to gain access, and that was pretty much the end of it.

Everything in the quote is correct except there are actually four (4) nuts. One at each end and two near the middle.
