    FS: 2.4S Engine Parts

    -Complete ignition system from a 2.4S engine in running condition (updated a complete and running engine to electronic ignition). 30mm shaft 0.231.169.009 Distributor with dust cap and 7300rpm rotor, ignition cap, wire set with original wire holders and ends, coil with coil ground wire. Guaranteed all in running condition! $400.
    -Set of used but serviceable A096A6 K&N Air Filters, clean and re-oil, no tears or holes, for 40mm Weber or PMO carb setup. Half price of new $35 for set of 2.
    -Sachs Race Engineering 215mm clutch pressure plate 88.3082.999.741 and disc. Were in good working order (upgraded) when removed from the car, disc is 8.88mm, pressure plate has some hot spots. $100.
    -Original MFI crank pulley that has been plated in correct finish. $25.
    Will sell package for $500. S/H included in ConUS for package, $10/box for singles.

    Cole - according to my information that distributor is from a '73 2.4 911E.

    2.4 S models used either a 169 005 (1972) or 169 010 ('73) distributor

    Copy that, that's why I included all the #'s. But as it says, this was running in a 2.4 911S. I am not exactly sure what is different between them other than the rev limiter rotor, but I'm sure there is a distributor expert out there with more than a spec book at hand to tell us.

    Interested to hear others comments, but during my recent research to find a 911E distributor, I concluded that 'T', 'E', and 'S' all had the same ignition curve. The only difference was the set point for the rev limiting rotor and unique distributor part numbers to identify this.

    Good point Mark, plus the S points have a wider base that doesn't break off at higher revs as easily.
