How to make yellow reflectors for TTG fog lights ?

    Hi,
Is there a way to redo my stock hella TTG lights reclectors to get them as close as possible as the original yellow reflector ? Is it with paint or plating or ? Any suggestions or experiences ?

I really like the look of the clear lenses over yellow reflectors

    Thanks !

I've not done it. It is however a type of amber varnish over the plating. Whatever used must be able to take the heat and not burn.

This is what I did for my GT project:

Here you can see how they stack up to the yellow lenses on my 911 lights:

    You sneaky bastard.

How did you modify the socket for the halogen bulb? A replacement socket mounted on the original base?

    Looks great! How's the reflectivity?

    Alright... ya caught me.

You can probably see it best in this picture I blew up (I have a high-res version somewhere but...).

These are sleeve's that fit over the top of the current bayonette base. They have a couple of notches punched in them that allow for the H3 to go through. They are a very tight fit and, once they are down the H3 is in solid.

I'm thinking about making them because I think they were a rip-off at $75.00 a pair. It came with the two sleeves and a couple $5.00 bulbs... almost forgot, a couple of sleeve's of shrink-wrap as well.

All in all a fairly clean install though.

I haven't a clue on the reflectivity. I'm installing them on my 914-6/GT project (picture included). It's still a project. I'll be yanking the 2.5 out of the 911 and putting it in the GT (where it belongs) and installing a 3.0 MFI motor in the 911 (where it belongs).

Naaa... that's the el cheapo route. Duplicolor Yellow Anodizing is the finish (Summit?). We'll see how well it holds up.
