    MFI fuel pump rebuilding???

I have four or five MFI fuel pumps that either dont work or leak. Is there anyone out there who does this for a reasonable cost?

I wouldn't do it until you know what car they are going onto since the space cams vary by displacement. Gus at Pacific injection has done mine.

I think that there is a company called Zimms that sells rebuilt units in exchange for core fuel pumps. When mine failed, I looked into them but they were not cheap. I bought one from the classifieds here that had probably come from them but had only been used for a few months after rebuilding before the owner switched to carbs. It works fine. The tricky part seems to be sealing the two housings together with the O-ring without leakage under pressure. My original unit's brushes wore the commutator into oblivion but I still have it. The pump section looks great.

Zim uses Fuel Injection Corp for his rebuilds. Al used to keep a few in stock but as the supply has dried up he no longer has them in stock all the time.
