    Weird Chain Tensioner

    Anybody have any info about this style solid tensioner?They seem to be well built.

    tensioner

    hey there , they were used early as an aftermarket replacement for the failing regular tensioner, the one advantage they have is that they are pretty much bullet proof and used by racer , the problem is that they need to be adjusted regularly ,, i have a set found in my 914-6 engine , i used them when i did the adjustement of the cam , an installed 930 tensioner with safety collars to preserve the original look

    Yep, had a set similar to those. They did wear out the sprockets very fast. When I did the last rebuild I replaced all the sprokets and them with the 930 type like Freez did.
