Unbelievable sound these GT3's make thru the forests.
Close your eyes...and you can almost here a 73/73 RSR clawing it's way through the winding tarmack.

Maybe Porsche has lost it way over the past few years.
But these cars still sound incredible and remind of the past....when Porsche was such a great car company.

Really enjoyable to watch and hear.

would my 911ST clone with twin plug 2.8 fit the bill?

    eade /ryan,

Wonderful vision, bloody marvellous in fact... even it there was the odd repeat in the GT3 homage.

I enjoyed this so thought I would raise you one... an ex London - Sydney 1970 911 being used as the good DR intended!

Very cool! Anyone know what the venue was? Amazing that they still have these lower tier rallies in Europe, very nice to see something other than the WRC cars being thrashed like this. Unfortunately I think the lawyers have killed any chance of us seeing anything like this on this side of the pond, other than the Rally America events.

Thanks, Eade! Those GT3s can be built to spin up fast and sound great. My buddy's Solo2 996 sounds just like that - very fun to drive!

There was some info on these cars posted in Off Topic in the Monte Carlo thread. The GT3RS is a GT Class car. They were going to allow the GT cars to run at the Monte this year, but the FIA put the stops to that since they do not allow GT cars in 'international' rallies. Most of Eade's video is from Spanish National Championship rallies. The GT3RS's run straight up against the Group N all-wheel-drive turbo Subaru STi's and Mitsu Evo's and others. Vallejo won the championship in a GT3RS this year

So what's the connection to early 911's In my mind, these privateers in the Spanish Championship are doing what was common place back in the 60's and 70's. Sure, they've got some major $$ to be able to run a season long national championship, but so did the guys running 911's back in the day - this was never an average man's sport. Privateer racing of new 911's is alive and well, at least in some areas.

    Great sound here:

Nice in-car. I'd like to convert my old 901 gearbox to sequential some day
