    help please. are these seat belts original?

    from my '67. are these 'original'. thanks, Don.

    They look identical to the one's in my '67 ---same color and hardware . I always assumed mine were original dealer installed items as the rest of my interior is mostly original. Mine have no remnants of a logo and the recess is the shape of a Wolfsburg crest---makes sense since mine was sold new at a California VW dealer......

    thanks for the input. maybe there was a porsche crest to stick on instead of a wolfsburg crest? for those belts going into porsches.

    FWIW....

    Here's a set of belts I pulled from an original '67 coupe.

    Every photo I ever seen shows black belts.

    I bought the same belts as Tom for my 67' except the chassis mounting points are solid one piece units and have plastic caps covering them. Not sure if the belts are original the clasps look to be correct for 67'

    Hickock/American Safety belts with the round aluminum crest. Im lucky to have found NOS front and rear dated 68.
