    Allen,
the collecting of parts go along well. Nice shroud. Can be used with both Webers and MFI.

    Good luck with the rest!

    Tack

    Pär,

And you are collecting parts too. I've got most all I need now to build my stock-looking 67S SWB 2.4 911N/S motor.

That's an absolutely gorgeous piece, but I believe it is a 1969 911S ONLY part.

It is red (911S) and mechanical injection (extra hole for pump tuning and fuel injector cutouts) but it doesn't have the grey, one-piece air guide to the oil cooler.

Porsche began using the one-piece air guide in 1970 and changed to the two-piece air guide on the late, late 72s (I believe). It was in full production for the '73 model year.

Regardless, it is a GORGEOUS fan shroud and well worth the $200 beans.

    Sorry for the hijack...

I bought this for my 2.0S 67 motor, and was told by many that with the holes for the F.I., it was for 70-71 only. Oh well, you can just never believe what anyone says anymore.

I meant no harm, Eade. I thought it was a great, rare shroud in great condition at an eminently fair price. Merely passing on information...

The 69E and 69S were the first production 911s with MFI; the shrouds would have been either green (E) or red (S), had no air guide to the cooler and have injector cutouts and the pump-tuning hole. These were one year only fan shrouds. 1970, 1971 and 1972 911S shrouds are interchangable.

All that said, if you need one for your 67S I believe I have one or two red, 67S shrouds in good condition. PM me if you're on the hunt...

    Merry Christmas!
