    Looking for a 67 911

    Hi all of you,

I am looking for a 67 911 ( the right door handles and narrow body ) to make a 911 R replica, I don't want any rust bucket ( preferably with the wires, gearbox and component for an easier restoration ) , only a very nice car with good gaps with a 2,0l engine or I will buy the engine apart.
    Price will depend on condition.
Also will consider getting the car done in US depending on my budget if it can match with it? ( I heard of TRE motorsport already as they do a good job )
    Thanks for your help.
    Chris

    911R Replica

I cannot speak to the build quality but just in case you are looking for an existing replica there is one at http://www.europeancollectibles.com/..._inv_id=Po2252

    No affiliation.

    Good luck in your search.

    Chris....

I know of a pretty pristine (straight and rust-free) '67 912 tub (not mine) that you might be able to acquire at no cost if you have the shop do the work to build it as a 911R. I doubt if it's value would be affected much whether you start with a 911 or 912 and you could save the $$$ that a 911 tub would cost. I think they also have a '67 2.0 engine. Let me know if you're interested and I will PM you with details.

I have no financial interest in the shop - they do a lot of my work though and I'm happy with it.

    Cheers,

Thank you Jaudette, here in France it's gonna be a little be difficult to use a 912, not impossible but for insurance purpose it could be bad news having a crash with the car and hurting somebody as they would'nt be happy to see a flat 6 in a 912

    Hi Magnus,

Love both cars but absolutely love the silver one it look stunning

I am planning to do the same with minilite wheels in oxford beige grey color if I cannot find the candidate, I think than the best for me would be to get a late 67 and get a good shop to do the work in US to my specs.

    R replica for sale

I don't have any skin in this game, but the fellow that bought my replica at the Charlotte Porsche Parade is interested in selling it for less than it cost to build. I'd be happy to put you together so you can hug it out, but last I heard he had not put any meaningful mileage on it and its pretty clean.
