The finest, as in highest quality, and the most autrhentic, in terms of the correct weight German fiberglass cloth, same thread-per-inch count, direction of the fibers in laying up the various pieces, and even tinting the resin the correct honey-amber color is provided by the Porsche shop in Hayward, California that was featured in the last issue of the ESSES, the chap that makes 908s from scratch. The name of the shop escapes me at the moment, but surely your rgruppe mates can provide that information.
As you would reasonably expect, you pay a fair price for this quality, but your search will be over.

i think that Mark from Getty Design does fantastic work. he has the correct weave (just ask for it) and the resin has the right tint as well. he has been supplying us at Kundensport with very good parts for several different projects. ST to 917 K!
I saw a Series900 shroud just the other day at Redmond European (plug for a great shop in the Seattle area). Beautiful amber shroud...., color looked correct to my eyes. Damon Josz is the contact at Series900 and is a member here, his shop is in NH.
Cheers,
Eric
I had done many search myself before buying and I choose a kit from Damon at Series900 in Sunapee, NH. I think its the best fit on the market at fair price. He made different shades, if you prefer more yellow or more clear. The pattern is also nice and very accurate in my opinion. When I visit him, he show me a bunch of real NOS and used ST and R tins, to see the differences, and I was very pleased to see how close it looks. It cost around 700 for a full kit w heater block off. Unfortunetly I don't have photos of my on hand, but can post next week...
He made the shroud for one of the latest famous hot rod of the community (M.Neilson gray 67) First photo. But you can see with other photos, that they all look little different...
I think he's also supplying big guys, like Rennsport, TRE, Supertec ; but to be check. But don't hurry, he's loaded and making FG on the side only...

I have purchased 2 of the amber shrouds, one for my 73RSR look car, and one for my current Hot Rod, a 3.9 in a 73S targa from Damon at Series 900. Both were as good as it gets. I also have purchased a 2.0 67S shroud from him as well as a friend also purchased one. They are both almost exact match, really good quality. Just my .02 cents worth

Perhaps I'm a bit biased insofar as I have TWO 911s sitting at Damon's shop, but the fact is, the man is a bloody genius with fiberglass and his shrouds are second to none. He did the one in my race car, a perfect replica of a green 911E shroud, fit was damn near perfect. ALL shrouds require trimming before installation, but all molds are not created equal.
See this 73 RSR narrow-body front spoiler/splitter? Damon MADE this thing. Only one like it in the world. The guy looks at a can of resin and some German S-glass the way Michaelangelo looks at marble.
