    WTB: Heinzmann Fire Extinguisher Bottle

Thought with the New Year I would try again!
Looking for a Heinzmann fire extinguisher, any condition to restore. I know I've tried here before
but it would be the finishing touch of my interior restoration.

Many thanks and I hope the owner doesn't mind my using this picture.
Best wishes for the New Year to all!

    cheers, Mike

As I'm failing trying to find the real thing, would anyone have the dimensions of an original heinzmann bottle, as I may try to fabricate one!

    thanks, Mike

    Heinzmann

Looks to me like a cast off scuba tank would do for the tank.

Cut the ends off and then weld them back together in the appropriate lengths.

The hardware looks pretty generic and in any event is hidden under the dog house.

The pickups inside, however, look unusual.

Hi Lee, thanks for posting that, first time I've seen the decals applied! It does look good.
That was to be the solution if I can't find the real thing, which system did you use?

    Lifeline Fire & Safety Systems

Mike - I sent you a PM as well.

The fire bottle we used was made by Lifeline Fire & Safety Systems, which we sourced from Hotchkis Racing in CA. Lifeline is a UK based company with worldwide distribution, which is all listed on their website. I can introduce you to our graphics guy who does all the work on Gunnar's cars and did the Heinzmann stickers for my car. Let me know if I can help.

    PS
I thought you would be interested in knowing that we built my '72 RSR tribute in Gunnar's shop sitting right next to an original '73 Martini RSR. We essentially copied almost every detail off that car when building mine, including some really cool one-off factory designs. I'm happy to share any photos that you would like if it would be helpful.

    Heinzmann Stickers

    Hi Mike,
If I recall correctly, the set of Heinzmann stickers that I received from you were a little smaller that those that we ultimately used on the fire system. I believe I still have yours in my extra parts stash from the project. I'll be in Gunnar's shop and driving that car this weekend in FL. I can compare them and let you know what I come up with.
