    Green faced gauges in 73?

Barn find box o' gauges, some are pretty nice and always liked the green faced gauge. Have 4 good gauges in this pic, would just need a speedometer. How much of a plug and play or nightmare would it be to put these in a 73?

    HI Shaun,

I'm not sure that you want to bother trying to install a 912 tach into a 911.

    Hey Shaun,

I'm also backdating my gauges to the green face style and right now I have an early speedo installed. It's plug and play.

    Nightmare. . . .

tach will need conversion to work with 6-cylinders and whatever ignition you are using (it won't work even with Bosch CDI without an "intermediate unit" and even then the capacitor values are designed for 4-cylinder)

early oil temperature gauge is different than LWB, sender has different resistance values and costs over $100-- you could use the lwb sender but then you will have to convert the gauge

915 speedo drive is different than 901, you will have to figure out that also

and look at those chrome rings, those gauges need to be properly restored to look and function correctly-- big dollars . . . might as well have the 73 gauges re-done to perfection if you're going to spend that kind of money $800
