    original owner research payback

for once a PO was truthful, he told me that the car had belonged to a german olympic athlete, was given to him as a present by the german government for winning a gold medal

after 2 years of gathering information, and getting one of my friend in germany to call all those peoples , ( i had tried but my german is limited to basic need) got lots of nein sprechen english)

he did got a hold of the guy , and he in deed had a green 68S targa softie, so i now have a trip to germany planned in the next month to go and meet him, with my friend to translate,, it will be well worth the cost

hopefully i will get some sort of document or picture ( he is looking for them as we speak) but i know he sold the car to his nefew and i do have a written proof of that

i have to write a list of question , i know i'll be to excited then and i will forget everything

i am just so thrilled , my car is not just a collectable , its german memorablia too

    yoooohoooo

will post the document and picture with him when i am back
    now on the road 914-6
