    Spring of 1973

Two blue examples of the 1972 Porsche 911 line up at Summit Point raceway. We used to go to Summit Point for the Potomoc Region, PCA DE events back then. I took this photo facing "pit out" from the pit lane. The group of guys are probably from the Richmond, VA area and my friend Richard (red shirt) owned the Gulf Blue 911T, left of screen. The photo is dated May, 1973.

Ahhh, the spring of 1973. When wheels were skinny and bell bottoms were wide!

    Tom,

is that the ex-Bruce Jennings car which he ordered in his wife's favorite Cadillac Autumn Leaf color ( or some such story that's behind the metallic reddish / brown paint, I just can't recall all the details ), and the green leather upholstery, and which later wound up with Don Ahearn - I shot the photo at Daytona during RR III. Even though it has only one Talbot in the photo above and no number circles. this has always been a very unique car.

If that is the same car, I wouldn't even begin to speculate what it would bring in today's market.
