    1989 speedster cd radio

I own a 1989 speedster and learned that Porsche offered a cd radio as an option. I believe the radio was made by Alpine.

I have been told that the radio requires the factory amp to run the cd player. This does not sound right. Does anyone know about this? I am about to buy the cd radio, but without the amp it makes little sense. Can I use another amp if this is true?

    Thanks,

    John

    You donīt need an amp.

Just checked with a guy from the Porsche CLassic Center. I just found such a radio, NOS!! Hope to receive it within the next 10 days. Attached is a picture out of the accessories booklet from 1989.

The CD radio is the 3rd the 5th is only a CD Player without radio.
