    '73S Review

I don't believe it's a Euro delivery car so the plastic RS gas tank is a nice addition. However, if bought as a collectible the color change to the exterior and interior is a definite negative. I for one like Sepia and love Cinnamon so it's dissappointing that the PO went in a different direction.

Because it's recently restored and being sold by a dealer I suspect that the reserve is north of 80K.

Who knows what the reserve is... could be over $100k. The starting price is meaningless.

How do you order a 73S with no sport seats? Color change would always be in the back of my mind. I can't read the COA but it looks like there's only one option on it.

My 72S was ordered without sport seats, I have ALWAYS wondered HOW anybody would/could do this? Perhaps the first owner was a little too big, and needed the comfort of regular seats???? I have long since corrected this error.....Original material houndstooth sport seats now added.

I believe this car is being sold by one of our members, who mentioned this car was coming up for sale in a previous ad not long ago.

As to sport seats, there were a substantial number of '73 Carreras that were ordered without sport seats too.

My RS was ordered with standard seats (safely tucked away in storage) and I have fitted sport seats. This sems to have been a common thing on Italian delivered RS's.(very few options seem to be ordred). I wonder if this was to keep the cost down when new. Maybe there was some kind of import tax at the time in Italy?

    73 911s

I spoke with the dealer 3 weeks ago and wanted to see the car as it is only an hour from me. I was told that the car wasn't ready to see and that he would get back to me. He never did. Here is the link to his dealer site.

I got the feeling from the salesman that I spoke with that much was replaced on the car.

The COA is readable on the dealer link above. Only option listed is "Michelin Tires".
