Negative side effects with a 100L rally tank??

Is there any negative side effects with the 100L fuel tanks when it comes to handling? A lot of liters moving from side to side..

    Thanks

If you're making one you could add baffles to stop the side
to side slosh. Maybe stuff it with foam to slow the sloshing.

I recall a plastic RSR tank that passed through here having a mesh inside to control slosh.

Fuel Safe sells foam kits. ATL will do a cut to fit. I don't think either of those are going to work for you so here's another option thanks to the motorcycle crowd! Cubes for motorcycle applications. You're going to need a lot.

None I can imagine, and the car will probably handle better as a result of more weight up front.

I've got a 102-Liter fuel cell in my 74 Carrera, so no sloshing. But a full tank is about 160 pounds of fuel

The biggest problem with the original metal 100L tank (and early 911/912/914s in general) is rust. These tanks are after all forty years old. Even after sending my 100L steel tank through the interior coating process twice, I still had to get rid of the tank's screen filter because it kept clogging up. I could have cut the tank up and repaired it, but then it would not have been "original". The other problem is finding the correct sender and gauge. Stock ones can be modified, but again they are not "original". As far as fuel level goes, I have not noticed a problem and wouldn't worry too much unless you are racing.

    Running out of gas....

Seriously... without the correct sender I always assumed I had plenty of gas when the level fell below zero... like a large "reserve".. nope!! I ran out twice before I found the correct level sender.

    100 ltr slosh

the 100ltr tanks on 914-6 gt used 4" pieces of foam to prevent sloshing. infact i could use some foam but not shure what kind of foam to use
