    SWB Koni Instructions

Here are the little instruction sheets that come with SWB Konis.

Notice how there are three rubber bushings, all marked differently-- one goes under the dust cover, the other two sandwich the bushing. I wonder if this affects the ride height?

Also it's interesting that the cup to the upper washer is UP, not down. Many cars you see it facing down.

The M14 tab washer is silver zinc, not the phosphate or bostik endurion that you would see in an original car. That is easily fixed.

The thing at the bottom is the white plastic disc that goes under the bump rubber. Also, the bump rubber has the curved part down, not up like you might think.

the extra rubber wont affect ride hight but will probably keep the shock from blowing out the foot valve from overly lowered cars, and you could be riding on the bump. the cup washer should be up like pictured. that is the washer that is incorrectly installed in later 69 and up cars because it comes with the shock insert and is intended for mutiple applications. with the later one piece strut top bushing you should always reuse the dished (rounded) washer that you took off.
