Early 911 Shops in the San Francisco Bay Area?

    Hello-
I'm new to the bulletin board, and am interested in know if anyone has compiled a list of friendly shops in the San Francisco Bay Area? I have been without my '66 911 for about 15 years and the bug has hit to get back into the drivers seat.
I'd like to know what good resto shops are around as well as engine rebuilding etc.
Finally, any good vintage car dealers are welcome. I've been to Cars Dawydiak, and Fantasy Junction already and would like to find an alternative.

    Cheers
    Kent

Depends on what you need done. I've dealt with most if not all in the Bay Area. All have their strenghts. Some really work well with early cars and some are more into maintenace or later cars.
I would decide what you need done and go by each shop to meet them and see what they have done and guage their interest in your project. I'll be glad to point you to a few.
BTW Freddie (FHernand on this board) would be hard to beat for body/paint on early cars.

Had mine done by PBR Restorations in Crockett, right under the Carcinas Bridge. His name is Pete Sorensen. He did my engine, transmission, gas tank, fuel injection (Pump through Gus) and addressed some electrical and interior issues. Great work, been at it for 35 years.
