Certainly one of my top 10 Porsche colors ( humor intended) but may I ask some of the better informed members of the board; is there really a market for cars like this at $65,000 with chrome rims, Carrera not RS arches, a ratty 400mm steering wheel with dash to match and what looks to be repro seats just to be starting on?
I realize that those making a conversion are saying here is a RS you can drive and for a fraction of the cost but this is not close to being a RS but is at a real S price. I know folks (pity the fools) who won't drive their 65k S cars either for fear so who buys a 65k clone?
The other argument is you couldn't reproduce this car for the money, the owner has "X" more into it. Well, someone else's bottomless pit isn't really a function of market value is it?
Now that untouched cars are rarer than clone, tribute, celebration, inspiration should we add another category? School Of. Like a Da Vinci or Rembrandt students who paint in the "School of" the masters. Chrome rims(!) did not come from the master.
So, a School Of RS circa 1973 with additional pieces added since by different artists with varying degrees of originality and can we speculate on a value?

PS on a side note Mr. Macroni I have seen (and heard) your beautiful white S here in SmellA and it is so much nicer than the lilac car, runs like a top and looks FAR more fun, that is a better home for $65k if you ask me but you probably have change from that to visit P car HQ and a couple of Bratwurst leftover.
When the 924 came out (pun intended) in that color, some dealers ended up using them as demos until the following model year, since they just couldn't find buyers. I heard one salesman refer to the car as 'the hairdresser's special.'

LOL, Was that because of the color or because the motor was a blow dryer?
It doesn't look like a terrible car...
Love the color ... from the safety of my home office and the light of my computer monitor.
