What camber to run? Decambered Ball Joint?

    One for the racers....

Am preparing a 1972 911 for vintage racing. Any recommendations on front negative camber for a lighweight 911 for track use and what we can get with a stock set up with stock top strut mounts?

Also, saw the Elephant Racing decambered front ball joints on their website. Are these necessary assuming we will need to run with higher amounts of negative camber. Any experience with these?

    Thanks!

Try a search; there's lot of discussion of camber issues. Pelican has lots too.
Bruce Anderson recommends minus 1--1.5° at the front and minus 2-2.5° at the rear for a combined track and street car. You might get those numbers on your car but most need help of some kind...offset top strut mounts, offset ball joints, grinding the strut opening, Elephant's cambermax at the rear. A track car, where you care less about tire wear and dartiness can carry more.
Many favor a smaller gap between front and rear, say 2° front and 2.5° rear, further reducing understeer.
