    '72 911S Restoration

    Hi,

    I will post pictures and progress off the '72 911S I'm restoring.
    This is my first 911 restoration so some "stupid" questions may be asked.
    The project is an American import with modest rust damage and fairly original.

    The work that have been done;

    * stripped the interior
    * removed all the body panels
    * removed the windshield an targa rear window
    * removed targa SS cover (PITA to dismantle)
    * most parts off the dash are removed
    * stripped the biggest parts off the wiring
    * took out the gastank

    looks pretty solid excepting that sill.
    i wonder why the floor is green in an original paint silver car?
    silver looks original.
    good luck with a great project.

    The green paint is painted over the sound proofing by the previous owner for "protection" off the floors

    I'm used to restoring old VW's for a hobby and worked for a shop that is specialised in restoring old English and Italian cars (Aston Martin, Jags, Lancia,...) until last year.
