5 Bivens aluminum disc brake wheels, 6x15

Not mine, passing on a good deal for SWB fans. These are Aluminum " steelies"

Five special wheels, all aluminum Bivens/Coddington, a set that disappeared at Alex's for a while until rescued and returned to me by Chuck House. These had been returned to Alex for being the "wrong color silver"- then forgotten. Now stripped, centers and rims welded by an aircraft certified professional to be safer/better, trued and re-powdercoated, as good as they get, 9.5 pounds each, an offset that fits any 356 with Porsche disc brakes (130mm pattern).

With shipping here there and everywhere and added services required, I have nearly a grand in each of these wheels but will take the $3,700 I paid Alex a few years ago...and they are better than received, never on the ground. More (similar) pictures on request.

Any body know the difference in weight between the steel and aluminum? I have a set of late 67 5.5 steel wheels and I don't remember them being light at all. That would be "trick" to have a set of aluminum.

There's a good wheel reference chart on the 356 Registry web site...
