WTB: Factory Rear Nudge Bar

just got back from the LA Lit show and couldn't wait to post this right away.

I too have been looking for one of these bars and had just about given up, when I ran across this vendors display at Saturday's Lit show at the Hilton.

Bob Chase, owner of Grey Eagle ( Tel: 661. 832. 9148, e-mail: gryglebob@hotmail.com ) from Bakersfield, CA. Bob makes ands sells absolutely authentic, very convincing reproductions of these bars, as well as the duoble-bar AMCO style, between the inside faces of the bumperettes.

They are beautifully executed and chromed, correct diameter, curvature and fastening method, and I assure you, one cannot distinguish between his and the much pricier originals.....except his are available nowand he quoted me a price of $325.00 + shipping.

Highly recommended.....mine's on its way.

John, you beat me to it!...I have two of the original Nudge Bars installed and I can't see any difference from Bob/Grey Eagle's ... He might even sell the correct rubber seals Eric mentioned, since he also manufactures beautiful repro 356 over-riders...Good Guy and a terrific product.../ Lars...

I had no idea the pricing on originals had gone thru the roof! I think the most I ever paid for my original was $250 and that wasn't but about three years ago.

I'm planning on keeping the one I have left but, the price point on the repro sure sounds good.

Correct. The double bar was an aftermarket accessory

Are you sure this is original factory type front bar because it’s very different to the rear version?

Bingo! Yes, it's the overrider gasket from a US style 356 A bumper where the overrider meets the main body of the bumper.

So it was a 356a part number? But since 356A’s finished in 1959, they just used the same supplier?
And how did you figure this out Eric? Pretty cool.
