    WTB 1973 or 1972 5 Speed Coupe

    Hello to All from a new member to the site, here in Los Angeles. I was privileged to own both a white/black 1973 911E non-sunroof coupe (from May 4, 1974, until it was stolen on Dec. 23, 1981) and ivory/black 1973 911S Targa, which I bought in 1991, perfected, and then cleverly sold in 1992.

    I'm back in the hunt now and looking for a 2.4 litre 5 speed car, preferably a non-sunroof coupe or a special Targa. I'd prefer to find a car that's either original, or one that has already been restored correctly. I'm not looking for a project car, an "upgraded" car, or one that has rust, nor am I looking for one that's been wrecked and repaired. If you have (or know of) a special car that you would like to see go to a good, experienced home, please PM me and let me know the specifics.

    Thanks to all for any good leads!

    A little more info might be helpful to potential sellers.
    Are you after an 'E', 'T', or 'S'? Or any of them? Any order of choice?
    What's your budget? There are coupes being offered all over the map price wise. Are you thinking $25K or $125K???

    Pinball: i have a very nice '73 911e. i have not considered selling it until recently when i put my eye on another car. i took a lot of photos of it today, and if you are interested in seeing them, email me at tmctguer@cox.net.

    i need to do some research to see what i would consider selling it for. i have owned it since 2002 and bought it with 54K miles on it. it now has 76K.

    let me know.

    A Little More "Wanted" Information

    Hi Stacy - Ideally, the car would be a clone of my stolen '73 911E, which is pictured as my avatar from a Summer, 1974 trip to Crater Lake. That car had sport seats and an AM-FM radio, and that was it. No air, no sunroof. And that's the way I liked it. In order of preference, I suppose a White/black 911E coupe (5 speed only, no Sportomatics) is the top choice, followed by Silver, Yellow, Blue etc. 911E coupe. Next in order of preference would be either a 911S coupe, or a MFI 911T with "S" options including the factory front spoiler. Targas come after that. Budget is a lot closer to $25K than $125K, but I'm prepared to pay a fair market price for the right car. Hope this helps! I appreciate the interest and the leads.

    George,

    I know you're just responding to Pinball's question......... However,

    With an explanation and picture site as you posted and linked us to, I trust we all would like to know how much you want for your two good looking cars.

    If you're selling, which I trust you are, please repost your cars in this forum with a stated price ASAP.

    Thanks,
    Chuck

    George,

    What you asking for the cars? I have to say that your white "71' 911E" coupe is actually a 1972 911T coupe. The VIN number, oil tank filler, engine, fuel pump mounts, all indicate this is a 72' T.
