FS: 2001 Porsche 996 Turbo with $30k of upgrades. Only 36k miles

    2001 Porsche 911 996 Twin Turbo

    VIN # WP0AB29921S686835
    36,700 Miles
Silver on Black Leather 6-speed Manual Clean and Clear California title
    1-Owner SoCal Car
    No Accidents/No paintwork

    Offered at $44,990

This Turbo was very nicely optioned from Porsche as well as some tasteful owner-installed options. Options include:

    Leather Ignition Lock Rosette
    Carbon Fiber Rear Section
    Carbon Fiber Center Air Vent
    Carbon Fiber Trim Strip
    Loudspeaker Finished in Silver
    Carbon Fiber Instrument Surround
    Porsche Crest Embossed on Headrests
    Door Entry Guards in Stainless
    Aluminum Colored Instruments
    Heated Seats
    Sport Seats
    CD Compartment
    Mechanical Seat Height Adjustment

The owner of this special Turbo is a mature enthusiast who has served as the PCA president for the Orange County, CA chapter. The car has been absolutely pampered and it shows. In addition to the factory upgrades, this owner would install a performance enhancement each year as a present to himself. Over the course of his 9 years of ownership, he spent well over $30,000 on VERY nice modifications.

Here is a list of what has been done:

GMG Club Sport Suspension Package ($7,000 cost). This package includes double adjustable remote reservoir Moton shocks as well as all suspension link upgrades.

Tech Art adjustable Sway Bars with TRG drop links
Brey Krausse Harness Bar with Schroth 4 point Cam Lock harness
Full Floating Rotor Front Disc Brakes
    Steel Braided Brake Lines
    Almost New Yokohama Advan Tires
Interchangeable ECU Mapping (both stock and X50 settings)
GT1 Hybrid Turbo Charges by Ultimate Motorwerks
Billet Pop-off Valves and Forged Diverter Valves
Euro Pipe Exhaust system from Belgium
Ported and Extrude Honed Exhaust Manifold
Powder coated and Extrude Honed Y-Pipe
Ceramic coated Exhaust and Hot Side of Turbos
    Techart Short Shift Kit
Alpine Bluetooth and Satellite sound system with FVD subwoofer and upgraded speakers.

What is so nice about all these upgrades is the basically stock appearance this Porsche has. It is hard to believe that there is well over 500 horsepower hiding beneath the deck lid. However, don’t be fooled by horsepower numbers. It is very easy to chip a Turbo and post some high peak hp numbers. But, the reality is there is only one way to do this right and this owner most definitely understood that.

This car is in outstanding condition and has never been abused. Mechanically, the car is fresh and outstanding. The only blemishes I could find were a small high spot on the front bumper where the license plate goes as well as the typically wrinkling of the dash where it meets the windshield.

All books, receipts, detailed upgrade logbook, window sticker, and spare keys are included. Also, the California registration is paid to August of 2010.
