    1971 911S Help finding previous owner/history

    I have now gotten confirmation from the Porsche factory, its matching numbers and was delivered to dealer:

    type 911534=911S Coupe
    engine 6310979
    gearbox 115807
    dealer UW=Washington
    date of invoice 01.Jan.'71
    color 1818=albertblue
    interior 11=leatherette black,seatinlays basketweave
    option 567=colored windscreen

    VIN: 9111300584
    Engine number: 6310979

    Do anyone know which dealer UW=Washington is?/was?

    Would somebody be so kind as to enquire with their local Washington Porsche Club/entusiasts? maybe some one recognices the car?

    Just a guess, but it probably stands for University Porsche which was in Seattle. It's now just University Audi.

    Just got a reply from UA, they unfortunatly only keep records for 10 years. I guess I will have to continue my hunt at the local Porsche Clubs in the Washington area.....

    Thanks Peter, I will try them. I just found out that Chris Powell, owner of Chris's German Auto Service, used to work for University Porsche a long time ago. I sent him an email 5 min. ago.

    Resurrecting this tread. Anyone in the Seattle Wa. area remember this car? seems to have been "raced" at a point in time. Racing seat belts, red Sabelt and large holes in the right head light bucket for better air flow to the oil cooler under the right front wing.
