    Plaid Seat Material

    I'm planning to update my 1960s Recaro race/rally seat's worn out corduroy material with plaid (I know, I know... but I really like the plaid!).

    Does anyone know the weight in ounces of of the Factory's plaid material? The plaid cloth I'm considering at comes in 16 oz and 11 oz weights. Which weight should I purchase?

    Hey Andy. Check out Flunder's "another hot rod" thread. He's got some great info on tartan plaid on the last two pages.
    I don't think there's info on weight but I wouldn't be surprised if Tom could help you with that.

    Thanks, Mark. I'm not upholstery smart and I don't know how thick or thin that plaid material should be!
