Hotrod Interiors - Ideas?

Hi All

I'm hoping to see some interiors with something other than straight black...

I'm currently restoring my 911 back to the original Ossi Blue and rather than a black on black interior, I'd love to see something period themed ('69). Maybe a red or burgundy, blackwatch or another tartan, paisley perhaps?

Interested in something just a little different...

Mind that this car was originally Slate Grey; however I have seen an Albert Blue car with red interior that looked nice as well. (edit: There's one in EC's inventory now, a '72E.) Don't forget the many 356s that sported a blue over red combo, e.g. http://bringatrailer.com/2008/07/04/...e-356-european.

I have been toying with the idea of using 356 speedster sport buckets in my car. Albeit more correct for an early SWB (these and the 911R seats were the only sport options before the 67 sport seats), imagine how cool they'd look with Eric Linden's blue houndstooth inserts and blue leather with dark grey square weave sides.

My interior came out great in the 69..... 70s recaro racing buckets, roll bar w/ racing belts, swb style door panels...... very simplistic yet very functional as well as sport purpose!
