Which tires for an ST replica

Hi all - I have 8x15 and 9x15 Fuchs going on an ST replica - looking for grooved race tires most likely - probably 255/50R15 for rears. Can't seem to find any Dunlops. Any ideas? Thanks.

Pretty much only two known choices:
    Michelin TB15
    Avon CR6 ZZ

    Plus an unknown newcomer:
    American Racer

Any thoughts on the BF Goodrich g-Force TA Drag Radial. It comes in 225/50R15 and 274/50R15. Might that be another option? Tire Rack has them.

A few people here with WIDE cars are using Avons and they "roll their own" - they bought a slick and cut their own patterns.

    Kenik,

Have yo been able to find any pricing on those American Racers? I'm interested to see how they compare to the Michelins.

Thanks Dave. I'd love to take another look. I'm leaning toward the Goodrich g-ForceT/A Drag Radial 2. Reviews seem to be good and price is reasonable. Also, I'm going to call you to order a roll bar. Are they 1 3/4 in diameter? That's what I have on the Trans Am and I'd like to repeat it.

    Talk to you soon.

our current bar line is 1.5" diameter tubing. Our new bar that we just completed production details on is 1.625" and is as exact as possible copy of the late 74-76 RSR roll bar. We should have both for you to check out when you come by next week
    thank you

    Dave,
Is there any difference to how the suspensions would be set up for the Hoosiers vs. the Michelins?
