Hallelujah! Another WIDE 15" tire manufacturer!

Has anybody heard of "American Racing" tires? Roger Krause just started carrying them and they have some SERIOUS widths that also have a REAL tread pattern. Check it out:

Except for the 13" dia., those all seem to be very high aspect ratio (very tall, 26-28" dia.) tires. In a 305, most people are looking for about a 35-40 series max. in a Porsche application.

From the manufacturer's website, American Racer Tires used to be McCreary Tires.

Good point - a typical Porsche sidewall height is 5". That said, by my calcs, the S.W. measurements above seem to be a combined sidewall height by my calcs. For example, the 295/50 comes in at 5.81" * 2 = 11.62". Given tread thickness, this seems right on the money.

So, they really aren't that tall.

Just search 'Roger Krause Racing' on Bing. I can't recall the exact URL and I am typing this from my phone.

EDIT - here it is: http://rogerkrausracing.com/pages/pricing.html
