    1970 rear bumper guards

I have noticed some cars with the rear bumper guards all chrome while others have the chrome with black plastic vertical insert. Are the all chrome guards model or year specific, where they options?

IIRC the only '70s that came with all chrome bumper guards were 911Ts without the Appearance Group. 911Ts with the Appearance Group as well as all 911Es and 911Ss came with rubber bumperettes on their front and rear bumper guards. The Appearance Group also included wide S deco trim, wide rocker panel trim, aluminum door sills, S gauges, plusher Velouren carpeting, a leather covered steering wheel, and gold-plated model designation and "PORSCHE" lettering on the decklid.

    Hope this helps,
