    Entirely hand done interior....

I wasn't sure which category to post this, technical, off topic, other P cars... so it's here for now.

The guy in this thread actually cut and hand sewed a set of seat covers for his Porsche. I have to give him UTMOST credit for even attempting to do this himself. It appears it was his first time with a sewing machine based on his comments. I'll leave it to you all to post any comments you think appropriate..., I would not have attempted this myself...

Well, I upholstered one of my Morris chairs by myself, no patterns etc. as a first timer but, dayyumm. I wouldn't have tackled that. Hats off for the effort!

    S O:

That post is the funniest thing I have seen and read in a loooong time. Some of the replies kept me in stitches for quite a while. The reply that it looks looks like the skin hanging off a ninety year old man took me to my knees and the shot of the two dogs put me over the top.

I wish I could post a reply offering help, but there is none I can think of as the covers are way to big. If they were pulled to tighten all the piping would be way off and other issues would surface. It is very admirable that he did the work himself and started with just two pieces of cowhide, but if I dismiss the humor it gets a little scary.

    Great post S O. Thanks.

Cant wait for the paint job

It certainly must feel good when you have the interior restoration moving along so well.....will you be doing the paint work yourself? Please post pictures.

Tony should start worrying about the competition

Just because you can doesn't mean you should.

    One must know his limitations...
