This was a good issue. The S/T in viper green was pretty hot, but I am partial to that color.

The 917K at speed on page 58 is way cool. How about having that blown up to mural size and hung over one's bed? My wife did not like that idea. She has a mirror there and believes it looks lovely. I am doomed.

    Thanks for the kind comments.

Randy did a great job on the write-up of my build story. His attention to the details of my choices and sources for the historic specs really make the article not just another 'great paint/great wheels/lots of cad plating/blank check filled out' exercise. He took so many great shots high in the hills above Pasadena, (with Curt Autenrieth's help)...too bad more didn't make the article.

I'm working on the engine....more about that later on my thread, but there is still more to come about honing this car into a significant re-creation of one of the most famous long hood 911s in history.

    Thumbs up

Awesome all the way around. The article on Gib's car was the first thing I read, of course. Excellence has done a good job of including articles on early 911's for the past several issues. Hats off to Randy for his usual great writing and photos. I love it when when I know the cars and people that are written about, sure makes it fun.

Well deserved Gib, your car is terrific!
