One of the nicest and fastest 964's I've seen...

Cheers and Welcome to the thread,
    Chuck
Possible :-). There is another guy in a red 964 that is just evil fast that is out at the track quite a bit. I’m a maybe slightly above average driver. He’s just insane. I haven’t been on the track too much in the last year. That needs to change!

They are fun cars. I love the 964 as it’s got this great balance of old and newer. When setup right it really does drive and feel quite modern.

27 months since a post on this thread...wow.

Here's a vid and some shots from this morning's Dawn Patrol run up the Million Dollar Highway north of Durango, CO.
Always a fun time when the 964 comes out for a drive in the mountains !

    RIP Gib Bosworh

Sad to see my friend, Rgruppe Brother and "90's RGruppe 911" thread starter Gib Bosworth passed away this month. My condolences to his family and many friends.
Gib's absence will be deeply felt.

Gib and this thread were a huge inspiration for me to acquire a 964 back in 2011. Gib's passion, many upgrades and almost daily posts/photos really got me going on this great series of 911.
While this forum is focused on early 911 models, at one point in its heyday this thread was the most popular on the early S registry forum.

I eventually ended up with three great 964 models, Carrera 4 coupe, Carrera 2 Targa, and a RS America, thanks to Gib Bosworth.

In the fall of 2011, a bunch of us took a road trip from Texas, then Durango, CO all the way to Monterey. At the time I drove my 91 Carrera 4 and joined Gib with his 964 C2 on a terrific drive past Mono Lake, and Lee Vining Ca... up and over Yosemite via Hwy 120 to Monterrey and Rennsport Reunion IV.

A few photos of Gib & I on that great drive in the Eastern Sierra mountains back in 2011...

Thanks for posting this Chris. Sad news Such a great enthusiast. Happy now that I was able to spend a little bit of time with Gib in Sante Fe last year.
