Flieger,
Just to add to the Carrera Cup USA cars story, at least one of these car was purchaced and sent back to Andial to be converted back to the race series specs. It now has less than 5,000 mi. on the clock, most on the track.

Sorry to derail the discussion about your new 'Cup' Raj ole buddy. (I'm only a little jealous )
I saw this for sale at a shop owned by an old friend who used to work on my GTV. Don't know how many miles it has on it but this seems like a pretty good price? Cool color too.
Hi Mark...I just sent you a PM...Thanks / Lars...

Raj,
Congrats, I was wondering who ended up with Mitch's car. If I remember correctly it was one of the "parts cars" and never converted until later by Autometrics. I have #6 that was converted to race trim and reconverted back to street trim bought by Kelley Moss and reconverted back to race trim by Andial, ran a few IMSA events and then retired to club events. The cars were sold in street legal trim don't look much different than a standard C2, just much lower. They were esentially 964 RS's with full DOT equipment that is why they are street legal. They are really fantastic cars and a very interesting footnote in Porsche history.

Raj,
They are terrific track cars, quite fast for what they are and are bullet proof, not a bad combination. Do you have the 8's and 9 1/2's to go with yours, looks like it.
