Very nice looking example Brian. Congrats. Chalk up another convert. You'll love it!!! Now pickup a copy of Streathers "Enthusiasts Companion" at Amazon and you'll be set.

    Enjoy

Congrats Brian. I don't think you will be disappointed. Great color and the car looks in fab condition. I was close to getting this color, but the owner disappeared and poof ... car was off the market. Plenty of nice little mods you can do, as Gib and others have suggested. Enjoy !!

    Brian:

Congrats....you will love the car...trust me.

My interior looked exactly like yours when I bought it. It is a personal quest of course, but a black RS interior would really transform the car (much is already black). The AppBiz carpet kit is very well done and reasonable. Finding the right seats is more of a challenge, but over time, you can come up with a good set. The center tunnel bits can be found in black too, and an option is to dye the tan vinyl black on the tunnel surround. (check both Pelican and Rennlist for good guides on how to do it. I found a black one, but used dye for the lower vinyl strip at the B pillar...and it worked great.)

Hey Brian, nice car! I like GP White too.

Gib, did you need to roll your rear fenders to take the 9.5's with 20 mm spacers? Also, are you running any spacers in the front? Thanks.

    Thanks guys.

    Chris,

I did just that a couple of weeks ago. Great reference book, it really helped me get up to speed on what I should be looking for when searching for the right car. I'm sure I'll be refering back to it often.

Amazing Gib. I didn't realize your interior was tan when stock. The vinyl dye is does wonders for the color change. I'm not thinking down that road yet, but you never know where the mods will lead (and $$$ will flow).

    Mark:

I did not roll the rear fenders....the 9.5s with 255/40 tires and 20 mm adapters seems to clear fine. I have a some negative camber, but not than 1.5 deg. There are no spacers in front for the 8s on 225/45s.

    Brian:

Yes, an interior color change should be down a little on the priority list, with aero mirrors, proper shocks/springs, Cup I wheels being higher. (You could make it look a lot like a Cup Car with a black interior though.)

    Marco:

Not getting rid of the AC....I live in AZ.

FYI: A/C systems do not use freon. If your system needs a recharge, it most likely has a leak.

So Brian ups the ante for next winter's festivities, eh?

Hmmm- this car may fall outside the rules for ice racing hooliganism If 14" Fuchs with the required studded spec tires fit, we may consider the entry

    Brian,

If you do decide to go the black interior route, the RS America Sport seats are amazing, albeit heavy. The factory used black cloth in lieu of either vinyl or leather which resulted in the best factory seat they made. You can source these for about $1,500 a pair but they are difficult to come by. Marco had an opportunity to sit in these yesterday and was totally amazed at how comfortable they are whilst still offering incredible bolstering at both the mid ribcage area, and hips. Glad you're enjoying Streather
