    1973 911E sunroof coupe

Up for sale is a #'s matching 73' 911E sunroof coupe. This car is one of the most original/well documented 911E's for sale. It is optioned with electric sunroof, leather sport seats, 911S suspension (front and rear anti roll bar and aluminum calipers), blaupunkt frankfurt radio, 911S spoiler, and of course beautiful silver/black color combo. I recently bought the car from the 2nd owner, who owned the car since 1983. This car was maintained to absolute top-notch standard. Every single thing that was done to the car was written down in a log book with the date and miles. I have every service receipt you can imagine, letters to Porsche regarding info on the car and previous ownership, copies of the original title and bill of sale, original maintenence record booklet with dealer stamps, all the original booklets and brochures that came with the car when it was sold new at the dealer, old pictures of the car, and much much more.

The car has zero rust and is straight as an arrow. The engine has been completely rebuilt by a Porsche specialist that costed major $$$. The previous owner painted the fan shroud red to make it look like a 911S or RS. I guess the next owner can either sand it off or buy a used green shroud if it bothers them. I don't mind it. The engine runs absolutely perfect! zero leakage underneath. Stainless steel heat exchangers. The engine is fresh and ready for another 100k miles. The interior is all original and super clean in perfect condition. The floor carpets even have a date tag on the under side written in German handwriting when they were made! I have the original radio in a box in mint shape. I have the original steering wheel as well. Everything in the interior works except for the clock. The hand throttle, heat defrost, and handbrake all work flawlessly. I've owned quite a few early 911s in the past and I have to say this one is by far the best driving one. The clutch and gearbox work flawlessly. Brakes are good and strong, steering is very nice and tight. Engine is powerful and runs like a scalded cat. All lights and guages work. Cosmetically the car looks great, but when you are up close you can definitely tell that the paint is tired and will need a repaint in the near future. In some areas the clearcoat is grazing. It was repainted some time in the mid 80s. They did a fantastic job doing it. There is no signs of overspray anywhere. The door jambs are still original paint though. I do have original toolkit, jack, 2 sets of original keys and valet key. I have many parts for this car including the original 911S steel front spoiler, original decklid, trim pieces, steering wheel, radio, original rubber bumper guards, and other miscellaneous parts. This car is all complete and original and you won't find another well-documented/honest car than this one. I am asking $39.5k obo. Please contact me privately through PM or email. I do have many more pictures I can email.

Well done - if the £ had not been on its knees I'd have been after this too!

No doubt the car is nice and well presented, but Eric clearly states that the car needs a good paint job. Add another $5-10k for that. So you've got a really nice 73E in a very desirable color for $45-50k. Seats look like they could use a resto as well. Add another $2-3k. Good bought and good sold. Congrat's Eric and the new owner in Austria. It looks like a great car to spend the extra money on.

I believe I saw this car up @ Watkins Glen this past September. If it is the same car, a real nice example that I would love to have called my own. Good luck!
