2.0 Liter HSR or Production race engine F/S 7,000

    Hi,

I am starting to part out the complete engine I have. This is the last chance to buy this 2.0 liter engine before I disassemble and part it out. I have lowered the price to 7,000. The parts and machine work are over the cost to build this by a couple K. Anyway, the detailed specs are below. The engine has about 10 hours total since freshen up. There is a spare cylinder head completely ported to the same specs as the six on the engine (cost 325.00)

    Counterweighted “S” crank, race prepped
    Pauter machine connecting rods
Aluminum straight cut intermediate shaft gears, (yes it sounds like a blower)
Cam chain intermediate drive gears REM isotropic finish
911 T case with internal airflow work, and polishing, boatailed cases, and cylinder cut outs
Oil passages and connections blended and matched
Blue printed oil pump, with bypass modification
Birel cylinders bored to 81mm using torque plate mounted to cases
    Escuchie Pistons, high compression 13.3:1
Cylinder heads CNC ported and hand finished with stainless valves and AASE springs, This work performed by Circle Performance in Massachusetts, This is my 8th iteration of this configuration, with many hours spent in cylinder head development
Elgin Camshaft 314 degrees and .518 lift
    Cam drive gears REM finished
    Stomski mechanical tensioners
Manifolds match ported for 40mm webers
    Early engine shroud
    Alternator gutted with spindle installed
(Engine has electromotive installed but will be sold separately)
    Thermostat block off hardware installed
-16 AN oil inlet mounted in Aircooled racing oil cooler block off plate
    -12 An outlet installed

    Hi,

Yeah, I am bumping this ad. This is a really great engine, and it would be a shame to part it out. If anyone is building a historic racecar, it would be perfect. I can do anything from a freshen up to twin plug conversion for anyone wanting to run in this configuration. I would do all of this for

This would cost over 20,000 K to build from the ground up. I will start the part out in a week or so. PM me if there are parts and I will start a line.

    Thanks,

    Erik 508-524-3145 or soccerrace@aol.com

    Hi,

    PM aswered.

The question was about the crank if I part it out. The crank in this engine is cut .040 and renitrided. Many of these cranks are run using 2.00in (smaller) journals to utilize the latest bearing technology (Clevite 77). The #2 and 5 journals are crossdrilled to promote better oiling. This mod slows the bearing speeds down as the crank journal OD is smaller, creating less heat.

The rods and crank have 16 total hours since they were machined/new, and the rod bearings have about 8hrs at this point. The crank also has a straight cut timing gear to drive the straight cut intermediate shaft gear.

I haven't quite got to the point of parting it out, but I am near there.

    Thanks,

    Erik
