My first rig shot...favorite pic in a long time

This is my first rig shot. I've still got a lot to learn to perfect this type of shot. It's Ron's 68 912R...great car!

Would you guys believe the engine is off and the car is coasting down the hill at about 1 mph? John Gray just gave it a shove and ran out of the shot before it was snapped.

I've attached a before and after pic so you guys can see the rig...and my shadow.

I have no problem with the theory that all men are created equal.
But after that moment you are on your own and nobody owes you a damn thing.

    Nice shot Bob!!

You can even have images looking like this from a still image. Photoshop is your best friend but I prefer this method since it's less work cloning out the pole.

BTW - what shutter speed where you using 1/8?

    Very nice Bob.

Would software such as Elements 8 be clever enough to erase the rig and shadow, or would one need something more sophisticated like CS4?

    cheers

Full details in the form of a mass photos and personalized wErds to be published in WERK CREW which will be my independently released mag...in progress. Full details about the mag to be released when I get some more meat to the book.

    Exposure time is 2 seconds.

Not familiar with Elements. Spend my time in Photoshop only.

One end of the alum pole has two suction cups and the other my camera...of course.

    Thanks for the comments!
