It's interesting that the FIA are changing the rules for 2017 to make the WRC cars more 'Group B like'. Wider fenders, larger wings, slight weight reduction, increased HP, etc. (the current crop of cars are already incredibly fast). This is supposedly the 2017 VW Polo being tested for the first time:

Versus the final evolution of the Grp B quattro:

Although they will certainly never match the sound!

Rick - it's done and in the car (and it belches proper flames out behind the right front tire!).

Another pic comparing the new 2017 WRC Polo to the E2 quattro:

I do the Google translation of their website: http://www.rallye-magazin.de/home/

My engine mods: CIS-to-EFI conversion (the key to increasing HP), custom ground hi-lift cam, big valve ported head, GT28RS turbo, header, large intercooler, rear oil cooler, etc. Stock pistons and block. Estimated 300-350HP, same as the 1981-82 werks rally cars.

A short vid (transfered from VHS tape, so the quality is pretty horrible!) of Buffum's Sport at the 1985 POR I uploaded to Vimeo a while back:

I liked the front fenders 90% torn off and flapping in the wind.
